The confusion of the car insurance aggregators
By admin • May 22nd, 2008 • Category: car insurance, comparisonWith the amount of advertising done by some of the car insurance aggregators over the last couple of years i doubt there is anyone in the market that has not heard of Moneysupermarket, Confused, GoCompare or Comparethemarket etc. In addition to these well established players there has been a lot of new entrants into the car insurance comparison marketplace as well as the technology has become more readily available. Some of the fairly new entrants are BeatThatQuote and thecomparisons.com
There is no doubt that a lot of us have saved money a bit easier with the introduction of the price comparison sites. But with all the new entrants is the market getting too crowded and creating confusion for the consumer? Well, there is a lot of talk about that at the moment and the FSA is investigating the car insurance aggregator sites to make sure that they play by the book. Don’t look yourself blind on the number of insurers they claim to compare, but instead make sure you test a few car insurance aggreagator sites, find the best price, and don’t be scared to check direct with the insurer afterwards, or even bargain with them.
